The most disturbing thing to me was the total lack of respect shown by the leading male character for anything but his own success. The creatures that were encountered on Skull Island were very disturbing and could have been easily pared down to a minimum. The adventure on the island itself was far too long and filled with violent scenes that would really scare most kids under twelve. The island natives were horrible creatures that resembled zombies and seemed only to exist to make sacrifices to King Kong. The character responsible for ultimately capturing King Kong was a despicable despot that thought nothing of ruining people's lives by lieing, cheating, stealing, and risking others well being for his own personal gain. There was an incredible amount of uneccessary violence.

The period really felt like the early 1900's to mirror the original King Kong. The effects were amazing and the cinematography was outstanding. I am very glad that Peter Jackson made this with his vision and care that deserves another look from everybody. It is full of magnificent acting, stunning visual FX including CGI which is used for the best care from Weta Digital and staying true to its originality. Looking back on the film back in 2005 when we either saw it in cinemas or DVD or pirate copies, it does drag on forever which to be honest isn't a good way to structure an epic film depending on character moments and epic action which does drag on for very long, probably Jackson missed the days doing Lord of the Rings which are long but they are long for all the right reasons, watching how some people must have forgotten about it and watching it now as of 2019, it really ages so perfect that people seem to remember it but not care as much as the people who got involved in making it.

With creativity and intelligence, Peter Jackson always loved the original and how it influenced him in filmmaking in a way that he brought the iconic movie character to the new generation. With heart and power, Peter Jackson managed to have full creative control alongside with WingNut Films from New Zealand and Universal Pictures from Hollywood who made the original back in the early 1930s, Without the original, you wouldn't get The Lord of the Rings films depending on who would adapt the novels justice and Peter Jackson did just that. If you are familiar with the original that belongs to not only fans of the giant movie monster, or stop-motion nerds, it belongs to cinema.
